Expression Pedal Setup on KeyLab 61 / Working in reverse

Hi all,

I’m new to using an expression pedal (Nektar NX-P) and could use some help setting it up correctly with my KeyLab 61.

Here’s my issue:

  1. I want the pedal to register “0” (zero) when in the heel-down position.

  1. When I press it fully forward to the toe-down position, I want it to reach the maximum value.

However, the pedal is working in reverse. Right now, I have to push it to the heel position to increase the cutoff, and the value decreases when I push it toward the toe position.

What I’ve Tried So Far:

  • Calibration: I’ve calibrated the pedal through the KeyLab software but the problem persists.
  • Switch on the Pedal: There’s a physical switch on the pedal itself, and I’ve tried toggling it to see if it reverses the range, but no luck.
  • Reversed Calibration Attempt: I even tried calibrating the pedal while moving it in reverse (starting from toe to heel), but it didn’t change the behavior.

I have tested with multiple VSTs, same thing happens.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @orck19w ,

If the polarity switch on the pedal does’nt change the polarity, then it to me look like it’s a defect pedal.
This polarity switch was from the start what to change.

So if the pedal still change values and the settings has’nt been messed up, then a factory reset following the Keylab MK3 manual may help.
