I am using a Yamaha FC-7 expression pedal (and usually assigning it to Morph). Most of the control effect is in the first 25% of travel, is there some way of calibrating expression pedals?
Hi Marzzz,
this issue is not new. It is all about the resistor of the potentiometer you can fix it by adding additional resistors. Basic soldering is required, no rocket science.
I had the same issue with my Korg pedal.
Here a comprehensive explaination - the FC-7 is part of it. I just went through the first solution “(I) The ‘default’ mod:”

Keep also in mind, that the polarity of the FC-7 might need to be exchanged:
“…Yamaha FC7 and Behringer FCV “Mk1” need ‘tip’ and ‘ring’ wires to be flipped. Pedals with a ‘polarity switch’ (M-Audio EXP, Nektar, Behringer FCV “Mk2”) don’t need attention: if the pedal behaves ‘strange’ just flip the switch…”
If you like you can add a polarity switch - a tip switch and a hole in the pedal case.
Good luck,
StudioDeutz,
Thanks for the informative reply! Basic soldering I can do, I just need to find my soldering iron…
In the meantime, do the other pedals listed (with polarity switches) work with the PolyBrute 12? Any particular model that can be recommended? And I wonder if is it possible for Arturia to maybe do a firmware update that would include Pedal Calibration?
Thanks!
