Hi,
I recently acquired a second hand DrumBrute. All seemed well and was working fine, I switched on today and there’s a loud digital noise on the output (sounds a bit like a sustained crash symbol). The drum pads work but the sound is low level (in comparison to the noise). If I switch the filter buttons (HPF and Bypass), the noise stops but there is no output at all.
I’m fearing the worst but any ideas would be welcome.
I did some further tests. Noise is the same on the headphone output but not present on the individual drum outputs.
I’m guessing the filter circuit is screwing things up but am not sure how to move forward.
Hi @GatorGuts and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!
It might be worth contacting the seller and asking for a refund, or if it’s a retailer, for a repair maybe?
Also, if you know a local electronics repair specialist it might be worth trying them too… it could be something as simple as an earthing issue which could be fixed easily and cheaply, OR, it might be something more serious.
I think i’d log in to your account to contact The Arturia Support Team that will help you to fix this situation.
HTH!
Hello,
Have you found what was wrong ? I do have kind of same problem but id say worst as my arturia drumbrute is completly silent. If i turn the volume way up on an amp, i can here the pattern being played but like cut off/res filter way too open…
I dont know where to look at. I have a scope but nothing obvious.
