Drumbrute Impact only sometimes responds to program change?

I realize the manual doesn’t explicitly state that the DBI responds to MIDI program change, however it does seem to…sometimes.

I’m using a Digitakt and setting the bank/program on a MIDI track does seem to work, however using param locked trigs to change the program (e.g. at the end of a bar), works sometimes, but sometimes not. I cannot figure out what are the conditions to make it work.

I’ve tried a lot of different ways of doing this, and it just seems overall flaky. Program Change to other synths from the DT works reliably.

Anyone else have this issue, or should I not be expecting it to work at all?

Welp, I think I’m answering my own question, and it’s the Digitakt that is at fault. It seems that if MIDI → Sync → PRG CH SEND must be OFF or the DT will send program changes when the pattern is changed and this, I guess, messes things up?
