Down memory lane, early tune with CS-80 and CMI-V

First tune with Arturia CS-80 and CMI-V in 2018. Before buying the whole set of instruments.

Pad CS-80
Bass and bongo loop by Lily Jordy’s Air Tribute CMI-V
Alto sax Yamaha 82-z
Remastered with Eq Sitral and Bus peak

Just listening now, nice mix of genres!
Some smooth jazz meets Kraftwerk and that pad reminds me massively of early 90s Italo House.
‘Something’ keeps saying ‘Head Hunters’ to me as well, could be the percussion as it reminds me of Water Melon Man just a touch.
Nicely done! Would be good to hear a longer version if there is one. :+1::sunglasses::+1:

Thank you, Mat!

Ma non sono italiano!
I’ve heard the Italo House genre but I don’t really know what it is.
I think Lily Jordy’s loop inspired me at the beginning of the summer of 2018.
I did it for my jazz musician friends to show them what could be done with electronic music. They liked it.

I’m currently reading the popular Italian novel “My brilliant friend,” and I admire trumpet player Paolo Fresu, pianist Pierranuzzi, and so may great Italian musicians. I even like gothic metal band Lacuna Coil!
I used to play piano with my father singing “O sole mio” and other operatic songs.

If you’re not too familiar with the genre, here’s a pretty good idea of what i meant, brings back a few old memories lol!

Now it’s clear! I see/hear the link. I was confusing Italo House with Italo disco
Nice! I missed the Italo House era.

So I was doing Italo House without knowing. Mamma mia!
Like this one from early 2000, 808State.
Probably with Yamaha Yamaha SW1000XG.
An old Soundcloud account of which I lost the password.
The bass is too loud. I can’t find the mix so I can’t remaster.
