I don’t know how much MacOS might get in the way of this, but because of so much space the synth collection takes, I keep it on an external drive.
However, I’d like to install the FX Collection on the macbook so I can still use them whether my external drive is plugged in or not.
Is it possible to have this option if it was up to Arturia?

You can only set one install path for your Arturia resource folder.
It is not recommended to have the same things installed or located in multiple places, as that can create conflicts and difficulties.
So based on this my answer will be no. I don’t know, if Arturia can and will offer this option.
