Curve of the expression pedal (KL88m2)

Hi, I have explored about 5% of the possibilities of this controller, because I have no time and/or energy enough to look for all this stuff. I was wondering if there was a way to “design” or at least customize the curve of the expression pedal. I have the M-Audio EX-P, coming from the Yamaha (?), a very old one which goes (unusable) from 50 to 128 on the KLab. But the EX-P reacts differently than what I am used since 30 years+ on the Yamaha. Customizing the curve could perhaps remedy this?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I think you can calibrate the pedals in the Arturia Midi Control Center (MCC). You may need to read up on that and experiment a little.

Thank you.
I have been looking in the Midi Control Center for months trying to get the Yamaha pedal working. You can only change the min/max values, not the curve. I thought there might be a way inside the Keylab itself, but it’s too complicated for my old brain to deepdive into that. And there probably isn’t, if it is not possible in the MCC. Maybe with an update in the future? Thanks anyway, I’ll get used to the new pedal. It’s a bit like losing an old friend, haha!

setting the min value to 30 resembles the feel of my old pedal, but there is always sound then, of course. But since I seldom have to silence the instrument that way, it is a workaround.

I dont know of a way. Maybe someone else here does…?

Having had a good trawl through the manual, i don’t have a KL myself) it seems one can only reassign the CC#.

You can set the min/max values in the Midi Control Center. Setting the minimun value to 30, the pedal feels like I’m used to. I am now at 20, slowly retraining my muscle memory. One day…

Thank you all.
