Connecting Active Subwoofer

Hello everybody,

i have a question about the 16rig.

Is it possible to use Speakers on Main outs and a subwoofer on for example 3/4 and route it to the main out, so that if I change the gain on the main out that it always stays the same with the speakers.

thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry for the very late reply!

controlling properly a 2.1 system (with sub) is now possible with the latest “Immersive” 2.0.0 firmware update.

Bests,

thanks for the answer, I updated it. But someone Iam not smart enough that it works. could you by any chance make a screen shot or tell me the settings in the immersive tab. main on 1/2 sub on 3/4

Hey, please see the following screenshot:

I’ve created 3 channels from the Immersive Tab.

  • Left speaker
  • Right speaker
  • Sub speaker

Circled in red, I’ve assigned 3 different outputs (destinations) to these channels.

  • Analog Output 1 for Left speaker (Monitor L)
  • Analog Output 2 for Right speaker (Monitor R)
  • Analog Output 3 for Sub speaker (Analog 3)

Then, 3 different source (circled in cyan) will automatically be selected when enabling destinations.
As long as you’re starting from a Factory preset, the immersive setup should work from here.
If not, make sure that your USB channels are assigned to the correct destinations from the AFCC routing matrix.

Let me know if it helps!

somehow its still not working. If I press test on the subwoofer I get a signal on the sub. but I I play music the sub doesn’t work

That’s probably because you are not sending a Sub/LFE feed from your DAW (on USB PLAY 3 in the example above).
In that case, if you want the AF16Rig to generate the Sub/LFE channel, you need to enable “Bass Management”.
From the AF16Rig 2.0 Manual:
