i just received my drumbrute impact and my minifreak this week (nov.2024). i am busy testing different configurations for my dawless system and i find myself with a problem that i do not understand.
i configure my KSP in midi on track 2 for my minifreak (so far, nothing abnormal). it is when i want to control my DrumBrute Impact (clock, transport, tempo) that my problem appears. indeed, when i try to use the clock output of the KSP and the clock input of my DBI and i press play on my KSP, nothing happens on my DBI side.
Why do you use the plug Clock connection? Is’nt this connection mainly used for none MIDI gear? Be sure to use the right cable to support start/ stop, if you use this connection. Please consult the manuals about this.
Why don’t you use the MIDI connection?
Have you set KSP as Master and DBI as Slave?
Please consult the manuals about this too.
I want to keep control of my rhythms and it seemed necessary to control my DBI by clock and not by midi
after reading and rereading the different instructions, I changed the mono mini-jack for a stereo mini-jack… and the problem remained the same.
not admitting defeat, I tested everything I had as a stereo cable and it turns out that I have 3 out of 7 which do not work. And these are the ones I tested first… as if by chance
Thank you for taking the time to respond to me
Best regards
