Change effect level control to send amount for delay

Hi, i got the polybrute recently and like it so far. Still getting to know it.

How do i change the delay level control to being a send amount.

Meaning when i have a sequence i want to automate the send amount, so some notes are being send to the delay line and some not. But when i qutomate the level control i just control the volume of the delay line and all notes go into the delay line.

So the delay line should always be active and i just control the volume of what goes into the delay line.

Cheers and thanks.

As far as I know: If the FX section is in “insert” mode, the level control sets the mix level of the effect. For example, if I play a short note with the level set to 0, then I cannot hear a delay. If I increase the level directly after releasing the note, the delay becomes audible. This is expected for an insert effect as the audio is always passing the FX, and therefore the delay is always generating a delay sound.

If the FX section is in “send” mode, the level controls the send level to the effect bus. A note played with fx level 0 does not produce a delay sound. And if I increase the level directly after releasing the note, there is still no delay because the sound was not routed to the FX bus.

I have just tried to create a sequence like you described - and in “send” mode, I can only hear the delay for the notes where the level was not modulated to 0. Is it possibly a timing problem in your sequence? Have you activated the send routing for the effects?

Best regards,
Stephan

Hi Stephan, thanks alot. That solves it. I was reading the manual for the delay section and not for general effects. Ah i am glad the polybrute can do that
