I am sending a CC message from an external synth to MIDI In. I want to pass this on to control a parameter in Ableton. Can’t figure it out or get it to work. Is this possible?
Forgive me but this sounds more like an Ableton question and Arturia. However, some kind soul may still step in to help you out.
sending CC is sometimes an option in MIDI configuration, make sure your synth send them…
I think the issue is that the KSP does not send on CC message’s received at the MIDI In, which is surprising, but this being the KSP, maybe not.
Can anyone confirm that?
My synth is sending out a CC, I have tested that, it’s just not getting through the KSP. I am matching channel I/O numbers.

It sound like you try to use KSP as a midi thru between you synth and your DAW.
Please read the KSP manual section “4.3.4. MIDI Section” on how to change the midi out to midi thru.
I’m no t sure this will solve your issue.
I don’t have a KSP and i don’t know your setup and routings.
The issue seems to be that the KSP does not pass through CC messages. This has nothing to do with the MIDI Out/Thru. It will pass through note, pitch bend, and modulation wheel (CC1) info, but that is all.
Hoping someone can correct me on that, as it’s very limiting.
OK, correction, MIDI Out 2 when set to Thru will pass MIDI CC’s. But my goal was to send it using the USB connection, as my KSP is a good distance from my computer.
Unless there is a setting where midi in can be routed to USB out as midi thru, then i don’t think that can be done - unfortunately.
But i suggest you ask Arturia support via your account.
Midi interfaces can be used.
Many external soundcards have midi in and out that also can be used.
