When I launch the Minifreak app standalone, I can link to my Minifreak hardware synth.
When opening the Minifreak vst in Ableton, the link does not work.
It says ‘Linked to minifreak’ but playing the keys or turning the knobs doesn’t do anything in the VST.
Any suggestions ?
Edit : I have Ableton and all Arturia plugins installed on both my desktop pc and my macbook pro. On PC, everything works fine, not on Mac. Same midi settings in Ableton and Minifreak V, on both machines.
Very strange, indeed…
I’m not an Ableton user, i use Cubase, in which there is a ‘midi filter’ which can filter out certain components of Midi, such as aftertouch, specified CCs etc. Could it be that your Mac install has something like this which is blocking note on/off messages?
Hi @matjones
I feel so stupid…
Turns out that the track that I assigned Minifreak V to was automatically armed in Windows, on Mac I had to arm it manually.
I hadn’t noticed, must be a setting somewhere.
Lol we ALL do things like that if we’re honest, who hasn’t tweaked a compressor or EQ and thought ‘hmmm, can’t tell the difference’ and then realised it’s bypassed
Great to see it was a simple ‘fix’ and you 'fessed up
