Can we please get back the precise for functions?

I often used the level control for the functions to set an exact value. Please bring back this feature.

Did Arturia really limit Pigments in this way?
Maybe it was just hidden behind some button or something. If so, please tell me.

Is there a way to go back to Pigments 5 or to use Pigments 5 and Pigments 6 simultaneously?
I need this feature for some specific sounds…

I didn’t label this a feature request since this feature already existed until it was removed with the 6.0 update.

Hi @Reevyv. Welcome back.

Can’t you use the Functions Grid parameters?

You can set:

  1. from 3 to 32 horizontal separators
  2. from 1 to 24 vertical separators - And then you have the Magnetize functionality.

Is’nt that easier?

The grid is nice but it’s more about the specific values.

For example: Modulating the wavetable position parameter to go from 0.087 to 0.765 to 0.456.
This is much easier to do when you can dial in the exact value rather than setting a grid and trying to hit these values

That’s true. In some static cases like in your example more precise settings than the grid offer can be wanted or needed.

Maybe this is a feature request after all :thinking:
I guess it could be implemented that a small menu shows when you click on one of the dots. That way it you still had the functionality but wouldn’t cramp the interface. (similar like the drift parameter in the analog engine that has been moved)

Do you know if it’s possible to reinstall Pigments 5 and use it parallel to Pigments 6 (I don’t want to miss the modal engine and lofi filter :eyes: )

Yes @Reevyv i have also thought of different ways to solve this, if Arturia want to.
I’ve for example thought of a nudge functionality so you could use the grid and then nudge the point. This i think i would like in any case.
I’ve also thought of a sort of popup like you suggest. It could be as you suggest or a popup to display and write in the value.
Let’s see what happens.
