Hi, there is a problem/bug with sustain or hold button in minifreak.
When i play notes for example in arp mode, if i press the sustain pedal everything works ok, but when i release it, all the notes stop playing even the ones that i’m still pressing the keys.
This is very annoying, and it should not work like that, if i’m pressing keys and don’t release them they should not stop just because i released sustain.
Can you help me with a solution or fix this bug as soon as possible?
TA, calhaus
Have you contacted Arturia support through your account?
I only have the MiniFreak V as software.
If i press the Hold button in the VOICES section for Arp’s, then the notes pressed is held. When i press new notes all other than the new pressed notes is active. This is great. Have you tried that?
If i use the Hold pedal for Arp’s, then it’s unfortunately true, that all notes stops like you describe, when the pedal is released.
I can’t tell if this is by design.
When using Hold pedal with none Arp sounds, then it work like expected. Notes held down keep playing, while released notes stop.
Hi!
Yes, without arp as You say, everything works as expected for me too.
I am don’t belive the pedal behaviour is by design like this or if it is - then it’s stupid design - all other synths in the world allow make legato between changing the notes in arp!
“Have you contacted Arturia support through your account?”
Actually I did, but they didn’t even understand my issue…
I will say, that it can be by design.
Not all synths have the Hold feature that MiniFreak have.
You can just Enable the HOLD button. Then it even help you keep the beat. Perhaps that’s why the Hold pedal work like it does for Arps and Sequences.
You can even use the hold pedal to stop all notes.
But yes i would’nt mind a free hold pedal function for this.
Again you can ask Arturia support and make suggestions too.
