Very often (too often) there’s a clash between the characters used in the NAME field of any Arturia presets and Logic. So, typing Arturia as a preset name results in logic executing shortcuts a: show automation, r: record, backspace deletes a region/track… etc.
I use Logic and just tried saving a new Pigments patch named as Arturia without a problem. Can you give more info on your setup. Does this only happen with Arturia products for example?
Thank you. For clarification: I used the word Arturia as an example—it could be whatever I choose to describe the preset—this happens only with Arturia plugins upon instancing.
If you disable it and restart Pigments (ie remove and add plugin again) I think you may be ok.
EDIT:
Of course, I do to know if this is a bug and there is a conflict between Arturia and Logic Key Commands, or if this is how it is expected to work. Maybe someone else could clarify.
I’ve discovered this issue too. It seems to happen when Logic doesn’t realise where are typing in an instrument’s search field.
There is a workaround, I forget what exactly right now. Though I think it may pertain to closing and reopening the instrument’s window. That should “re-inform” Logic what is currently in focus.
