[Bug] Microphone Disconnects

I am running the Mac version of Pigments 6. I have 3 audio devices: internal speaker, headphones, and HDMI out to a TV. I typically switch between headphones and HDMI out. My headphones have a built in mic and I leave them connected even when not selected.

When I open pigments, I get a little orange indicator in the menu bar indicating that pigments is using the mic. But if I switch audio devices (switch from headphones to HDMI or switch from HDMI to headphones), the orange indicator goes away. Pigments then no longer responds to any mic input. If I close pigments and reopen the mic comes back. This is more of an annoyance than anything else since I am able to recover the microphone.

I am not sure if this is an artifact of using a headset mic or if it would still happen with USB mics or mics connected via audio interface.

Hi @Silence,

I’m on Windows.

But my guess is, that when you select another sound device, then you cut the connection for the mic. And then you have to restart the application to reconnect.
I assume if possible, then if the mic was a separate device, then the connection would be kept.

I can suggest you ask Arturia support through your account, if you think this is a bug and not a normal behavior.
