[Bug?] Arturia Software Centre Agent - High CPU Usage Spikes

Hi there,

In the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed some odd GUI pauses when using Ableton Live. I’ve been using MacOS Activity Monitor to see what was causing this issue, and it’s clear that something associated with the Arturia Software Centre is involved.

There is a process called ArturiaSoftwareCentreAgent periodically spiking up to high levels of CPU usage (see images below):

This is very odd - has anyone else been experiencing this? It’s usually between 0.5% and 1.2%. This is when I have quit out of the Arturia Software Centre - but for some reason (copy protection?) the Agent process is running in the background continuously.

Hi @badseed79 and thanks for your post.

I’ve logged this as a possible bug so our team are aware of it.

HTH!

Thanks @matjones

FYI I’m on MacOS 13.6.3, using an 13" M1 MacBook Pro with version 2.7.2.2631 of the Arturia Software Center installed.

The Ableton (v12.0.20) session has numerous Arturia plugins, multiple instances of Analog-Lab V, and also the 201 Tape Delay and the LX224 Reverb.

I’ll do some more testing in the next few days to see if I have the same issue on a blank / minimal session.
