“Basic” looper functionality

One of the features that drew me to the AstroLab was the built-in looper.

It seems like the only way you can loop a recording is if you select the tempo and number of bars in advance. If you want to record in “freeform,” there is no option to have it loop. It will only play through once.

For my workflow, it would be very useful to be able to do this kind of basic looping. Much like a simple guitar pedal looper.

Is this a feature that is under consideration for future firmware updates?

Hi @Dbrean,

I don’t have Astrolab, but in the manual section “8.2.2. Loop Record Settings” it say you can set fixed loop length to OFF. Is that what you are looking for?
Is this where it does’nt loop? In that case i suggest you contact Arturia support.

FYI: Arturia rarely speak about things they know for sure is coming very soon. You shall not exspect they will speak and guess about the future.

Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah, you set it to have no fixed length but then the recording plays through only once and won’t loop.
