Ciao, è possibile fare un backup via midi di alcuni preset su Logic usando soltanto MiniFreak keyboard senza passare per la sua versione Software ossia MiniFreak V?

Grazie per l’aiuto

Hello.

No, unfortunately it’s not. Because for performances reasons, MiniFreak presets transfert is not done via Midi anymore but using a proprietary protocol.

I’m afraid you will need to use the SW Synth.

Cheers !

Thanks for the reply, sorry for that but anyway, what is the way to backup the presets I created on the computer since I can’t do it on Logic like I always did for other synth?

Could you please send me a link or a tutorial on how to do it?

Thanks again
Paolo

I would like to add a question if I may, if I recall the factory settings, are the sounds I have created deleted or not?

Thanks again
Paolo

The sounds are not affected by recalling the factory settings.

Thanks so much.

Incidentally, if you DO use a computer you can still manage/back up and retrieve all your presets using the standalone version of MF and it works rather nicely too.

Thanks, the problem is that I have a very old MacBook Pro and I can’t access Arturia’s ASC from it. I have the old Logic Pro 8 and from what I understand MF can’t backup presets using midi cables on Logic.

@Rottenlime
AFAIK the MF doesn’t use sysex for it’s data transfer, as @Tim.Arturia alluded to above, it seems to be a proprietary system which is handled by The MFV plugin.
I’m afraid your only options would be to see if there’s someone very kind locally who you could ask, or to upgrade your computer.

Thanks, I think that if it’s sure that MF doesn’t use SysEx my only option will be to change my computer.

That does appear to be your most realistic option i’m afraid.
