Auto-update for The User Samples Folder Issue

Im using the latest EMU II with Gig Performer (not that this is the issue) as a sample player.
I can load my own samples in just fine, but each time I put a new sample in the folder on my MacBook that stores the samples EMU can’t see the new files. I have to favourite the same folder over and over again.
Why can’t it see newer files?
MacBook M4 Pro, Mac OS 15.7

HI @Davebass5 and thanks for the post.

It’s always been like this as far as i’m aware, i’ve tweaked your post title to a ‘Feature Request’ as that’s the next logical step…

Ah, thanks. I haven’t really used this one before so I didnt realise it was ‘normal’

Hi all Welcome back @Davebass5.

I’m on Windows.

What is that Favorite marking about? Is it a MAC thing?

If i place a sample in a User folder or import it through the EMU sample window browser, then the folder is updated. No issues at all.

Am i missing something? What am i missing?

EDIT: Are you EMU updated to the latest version? EDIT END

EDIT 2. Do you have your samples in SAMPLES/ EMU/ USER/ SUBFOLDER? Otherwise i suggest you try that. I think that’s needed. EDIT 2 END.

A quck update from my end, after some discussion and checking this myself on my own system i can say that it IS working as it should be here.
The user has to quit and then rerun The EMU-V to get it to update though, i’ve just found.

HTH!

Thanks for the replies.

Im talking about the user folders that you can have the plugin remember. Might be called favourites or something else, but it’s the user path to where im storing the samples.

Over the course of the last few days ive added 7 .wav files to this folder. Each time ive had to set the same folder as a new path for the newer files to show.
MacBook has been on and off over this time so obviously the app has been closed and reopened, or rather the VST3 version has. I dont use the stand alone.

As I stated, im using it within Gig performer, so not quite sure how to quit it without closing GP down, but that has not helped anyway. each time ive gone back to EMU and looked at the folders (paths ive saved), each one shows a different set of files, even though its the same folder.

You are welcome @Davebass5.

Even in my DAW/ host i max have to click the USER instead of Factory section button in the EMU sample browser to update. I think that’s if i add the sample or folder directly in the sample folder outside EMU.

Do you also have issues if you import using Add samples and Add folder in the sample browser?
