I updated my V Collection to 11 today but it appears that AUGMENTED MALLETS isn’t updating correctly because I have AUGMENTED MALLETS Play installed. When I update it via ASC, it updates it to the correct version but the plugin still shows ‘Play’ in the title bar, the interface has been updated, but there are only 50 presets available.
I have used ASC to deactivate, uninstall and clean preferences, but that didn’t work. I have manually uninstalled the ‘Play’ version, then performed a clean install via ASC, but it still shows up as ‘Play’.
I’ve tried everything that I can think of but I can’t figure this out.
Any ideas??
(P.S. I had to choose Yangtzee as a tag because MALLETS doesn’t exist there yet)
Fortunately, I did not upgrade to V Collection 11. But I wanted to demo Augmented Mallets full version. No joy! What’s good: I bought the Augmented Series 6 last year and all plugins were updated to 2.0.
Anyway, the installer is really quite crappy atm. It updated a lot of my V Collection X and some of the plugins can’t be opened some wouldn’t be found. Resetting the preferences and reinstalling after reinserting the paths (the folder paths were right, but I put them in nethertheless) helped overcome most problems. But not the Augmented Mallets problem
Same here.
Upgraded from VC X to VC XI on a Mac Mini M4 (256Gb SSD) with external 2Tb SSD. Resources installed on the external SSD.
Everything worked flawless with VC X since February.
Upgrade to XI everything works except the Augmented synths. No presets, all is clear white on standalone.
Augmented VST’s in Cubase 14 Pro get error messages on GUI and recommendation to re-install.
Tried cleaning prefs, removing db3’s, uninstalling, reinstalling (both ASC & from resources homepage), with no success.
Very strange all other 40 synths works but not the Augmented series.
Must be something wrong with Augmented V2.
Have contacted Arturia support with ticket and wait for reply.
Just bumping this up to see if anyone else is having this issue. Arturia support have asked me to try a number of things, including uninstalling, reinstalling, deactivating and reactivating as well as resetting presets and manually uninstalling all aspects of the plugin, but every time I try and install the full 2.0 version of MALLETS, even when I install from a separate installer and not ASC, all I get is MALLETS Play with 50 presets.
I am also experiencing this exact issue on my other computer, so I am certain this is a licensing issue on my account rather than a corrupted installation.
I have suggested that Arturia completely remove my MALLETS Play licence so I’m waiting to see if they can do that. This one has me and Arturia Support flummoxed
Hi again @Failed_Muso ,
It’s seems strange indeed.
I must understand you do own the full version of Augmented Mallets.
Be sure you have it’s activated in Arturia Software Center (ASC).
You can deactivate your Augmented Mallets yourself on your Website account under your Products. Click open See more for the product to be able to do so. It should’nt matter, but it’s worth a try to deactivate it.
Having a license on your website should not matter.
Then perhaps uninstall the product. Restart the computer. Then install again.
Just in case, then this is how to do a clean manual uninstall of ASC. That might also help do it this way.
Yes, it is activated but it only shows up as MALLETS Play in the ASC, despite me owning 2.0.
Yes, I have deactivated via the website and via ASC.
Yes, I have uninstalled, restarted, installed, restarted and still MALLETS Play is all I get.
Yes, I have performed a full, manual uninstall as per Arturia’s instructions.
And after all of that, nothing has changed. I have a MALLETS 2.0 licence as well as a MALLETS Play licence. However. all I have access to is MALLETS Play, even if I uninstall it. I have the 2.0 UI, but it clearly states MALLETS Play and I only have the 50 Play presets.
If you have deleted the ArturiaSC folder also, then i have no idea what’s going on.
I’m on Windows, and i don’t have the issue.
Are you on MAC OS? If so which?
There is nothing more than we users can do. I’m a external moderator but not a Arturia employee.
You could try to delete the db.db3 file in your main preset folder, if you have’nt tries that already. This database file rebuild when opening the instrument. The file perhaps could be corrupt.
EDIT: COuld you tell me where your Mallets presets is located on your computer. Are the path correct?
I would have installed ASC first, and then installed Augmented Mallets through ASC.
You should get an Activate button for your product in ASC.
201 presets is correct. So it look like the presets are installed correct and the database file is fine.
It does look like an Activation issue.
Have you checked that the product is’nt shown in the Explore or Update view in ASC?
It should show up to be activated. If not there is an error.
It also should show up as a product just like it does on your website.
I don’t understand there is’nt an activation button, and it’s not show in your product view.
Somehow perhaps ASC does’nt registrate you own the product.
When you click on Layers, near Play, if you have this option, do you see the Layer A and B?
If so you’re in full 2.0. The Play button alongside is to return to the general page.
But you should have 201 presets.
I remember I updated the minimal Play version in ASC in Explore Products before updating to Collection 11.
