Hello everyone, When I use Augmented Grand Piano in a DAW tool (Waveform or Ableton, with the preset “My Story,” for example) without recording the track, everything works fine.
However, as soon as the recording starts, there is significant loss, to the point of missing notes. The result becomes very different and unusable depending on whether it is recorded or not.
I have noticed that this apparently only happens with certain ‘sequence’ presets.
You mention missing notes and certain Sequence presets.
Please note that you only will record the notes you play. The notes created internally in the instrument will not be recorde as midi notes.
Does this explain your issue?
I therefore understand that only the notes played are indeed recorded. I will look into how to proceed to integrate a sequence into a DAW, if that is possible.
When you playback the recorded notes will trigger the sequence just like when you play the notes.
When you render the notes to audio, then the full sequence will be “recorded”.
You can record the sequence directly to an audio track, if you wish. How this is done depend on your DAW. But basicly you create a audio track and then select the output from the instrument track as input for the audio track.
So it’s only midi notes that does’nt get recorded.
Some synth - like Pigments - does output midi notes created by a internal sequencer. In such cases the midi notes can be recorded as midi, if one want to.
