AudioFuse 16Rig Bricked After Firmware Update – No Solution from Support

Hi all,

I’m posting here after a few days of back and forth with Arturia support, trying to resolve a critical issue with my AudioFuse 16Rig .

I purchased the unit in February 2024 from Alto Music via Amazon , and it worked fine for about a year. Then, it started showing boot and power issues — it wouldn’t turn on properly unless I unplugged and replugged the power multiple times. The A button doesnt respond

Following Arturia’s own guidance, I attempted a firmware reset — but during the update, the unit froze and never rebooted. Since then, it has been completely unusable:

  • The screen shows “Audio FW v0.0.0”
  • A button doesn’t power the unit
  • Right side vent LEDs light up when the unit is plugged
  • It doesn’t boot properly
  • It’s not recognized by USB or AFCC
  • None of the recovery methods (BACK + A , BACK + INS + OUTSetc.) work

I’m based in Brazil , so sending the unit back to the U.S. isn’t practical. I’ve already shared proof of purchase , photos , and a full description of the problem with support. So far, I’ve been referred to resellers and distributors who cannot handle this kind of firmware-level failure.

This is a high-end interface, and the fact that it can become fully bricked — with no user-accessible recovery option — is extremely disappointing.

If anyone from Arturia is monitoring this, or if anyone in the community has dealt with a similar FW 0.0.0 issue and managed to recover the unit, I would really appreciate any guidance.

Thanks,
Felipe

My interface won’t turn on after i did a firmware update to 2.0.1
this is beyond disappointing
at this price point, this is criminal!!

Hi @pachu
Sorry to read this issue!

You should be able to turn on your interface again by doing the firmware update another time:

  • As ft1991 said, when power the unit from “A” button, the right side vent LEDs should light up.
  • There, connect the unit to AFCC from a computer and do the firmware update another time.

It should work.

Hi @ft1991

Sorry to hear that you haven’t been able to resolve your issue yet.

Just a quick question: You say the unit doesn’t power on, but the screen still displays something? So it’s somewhat powered on?

Could you try connecting it to another computer where the AudioFuse drivers are also installed (they are installed along with the AFCC)?

Bests,
