Astrolab on sale

  1. Insufficient polyphony (especially on DX, Pigments, and Augmented series)
  2. Lack of support for multiple versions of single instances
  3. Persistent glitches
  4. No announcements regarding the project’s future direction (future improvements not communicated)
I have decided to discontinue my efforts.

i would like to reply, i m 2 months user of the Astrolab and, this is a thread/chance i would like to say my , and only my personal opinion about the project.
I will use as guide the above post for this!

  1. About polyphony, i’ve see and others to mention about!
there is no need & essentially to have 128++ notes of polyphony on board! a few instruments, let’s say a synth e.g, is perfect and with much less!
the issue is, how you use it!
so, i’ve never generally speaking, as an almost blind amateur musician with all my instruments, dispide the fact if it is workstation or a “simple” synth, any issue about, and of course no issue with Astrolab.
  2. Again, a small detail! Some times we need only these we can use & put in to our songs. In our sound environment!
  3. for this, i’ve no opinion, so no comment i can say/write!
it it’s something , that it has to do with something technical, any user face this issue, has to contact with any company to see how they can find a solution.
For my Astrolab, all work perfect! and a specially , after of the installation of the last firmware, is like i’ve purchased a new instrument!!!
  4. As i’m writing above, the fact that, Arturia publish every couple of weeks/months, and a new update, this is a sign that , the Astrolab is an on_going project, we are ecxited to see to grow & new sound & features come to the “band”! so, i think, a bit patience is the key for the “what Astrolab is going to be in the next step”!
And, all the above, i m writing them with out Arturia to give me any Euro!!!
    I simply love the Astrolab!
Ps! i would purchased your’s, but i’ve no space to put it!!!
    all the best,
    Theo

I love the astrolab concept. The MIDI implementation however, is puzzling, especially coming from Arturia, it makes no sense and is the only KBD in my modest collection that does not play nice with others, at all.
