Hey @covertbase.flores007

Thanks for the suggestion!
Arturia are constantly looking for feedback and ways to improve and expand its range!

I have an Astrolab 37, but I’d much prefer a rack or module version!

Much better in a rack no point having it on keys.

I am close to buy one and slice off the keys.

If they do build a rack Version with more knobs (need like 32 knobs) , built like it tank. No plastic crap >>>>all metal it’s worth the money.

A rack-mount version would be a really great idea.

That way, we could choose to connect the master keyboard of our choice.

Maximum front panel controls are highly recommended.

What would be essential is a real boost to the processor, RAM, etc.

But unfortunately, I doubt the desktop version will ever see the light of day.

Yet, there’s a real demand for it.

Interesting idea. But why limit it to only the presets on AstroLab? Why not make a rack-mount version of Analog Lab?

I have a Roland Integra-7 rackmount. The good news is that it holds every patch from every instrument that Roland made at the time of manufacture. The bad news is that, although it’s very flexible, the rack-mount design requires a tiny screen with lots of menus and sub-menus, and most racks are not at eye-level. They provided an iOS app for tweaking, and a more comprehensive PC app for same. Unfortunately, the PC app never worked, and while I was communicating with their tech support (which was discontinued during this process) about that issue, the iOS app stopped communicating with it. I now must work the tiny screen when I choose to work with it, which makes it far less attractive–lots of work to accomplish things that are far easier with other products.

Arturia is different. Analog Lab works, and can be configured in greater or lesser degrees with most any MIDI controller. That, to me, would be preferable to an AstroLab unit, as it would have way more flexibility.

That said, the main advantage of a keyboard version of AstroLab, at least for me, is that I can take it on a gig without having to bring a computer and digital interface with my KeyLab. As a matter of fact, it is the only advantage to me, but it matters.
