There are problems with some of the installers being called by ASC, with the VST3 path being set to blank (possibly by the previous installation) and then failing the installation. There is similar on some instruments. The result being that it is impossible to run complete updates without some failures and some blocking progress. All of the installers need to be verified that they don’t cause this issue. When run manually, you see the issue - when run in ASC it simply breaks the installation.
Hi @TheAndyMac.
Not an easy one to reply to.
Here is what i can do with the informations you have been given. I hope it will help.
I wonder why the VST3 path is blank.
Be sure you have selected Silent install in ASC, if you don’t wan’t to confirm all the time.
I can suggest you have a look at the following FAQ articles. If it does’nt help, then perhaps an uninstall and reinstall of your products can help. Otherwise please contact Arturia support.
The issue is that some of the installers remove the VST3 path after installing. The result is that, during an update, some installers during their silent installation clear the VST3 path, resulting in subsequent installations failing.
If you use manual installs, you can then fix the issue when it occurs - it just takes a lot longer to install a set of updates.
Have submitted to support.
I may be wrong but one should take note of the faulty installations and install them manually afterwards.
I gave the VST3 path when asked but all those plugin were badly installed anyway. I had to reinstall them manually.
