I installed the latest Arturia Software Center. I used it to install the new Synthx and that worked. I wanted to delete some duplicated stuff (like V Collection 7) While doing it’s thing it crashed - but not just ASC - it froze and crashed Windows 11. Anyone else seeing that? Seems I can do single uninstalls but not within the context of the collections - which is often the only way to do it?
You have none of the exact same applications installed more than once. So there is no need to uninstall anything.
If you uninstall an application from one V-Collection that also appear in other V-Collections, then you uninstall it from all the V-Collections in which it appear.
I don’t know why ASC crash for you. It should not. But if you still want to uninstall, and ASC keep crashing, then i suggest you try to resinstall ASC. Be sure not to run any Arturia instruments, if you uninstall.
Ah! I did not realize that. So if a particular version of one of the, say, V Collection synths appears in two V Collection lists (say, V Collections 8 and 9) then both are just links to the same software. Makes too much sense! No wonder I was crashing things. As always, thanks much for your help and sanity check!
That’s how it is yes. That make perfectly sense. ASC keep things in order for you , unless you change install paths or move things on your computer after installation.
If an older version from an older V-Collection keep being instaled because a new does’nt replace it, then that also need to be activated.
I suggest you keep older versions installed, to be able to use older presets and be able to do deep editing through Analog Lab too.
You are welcome.
