hello - will do my best to explain ASC/ALV5 issues with my DAW. my setup consists of Apple M2 Pro Tahoe 26.3, Logic Pro 12.2, ASC, V Collection 11 Pro (Minilab 3).

This all started with Logic Pro 11 (LP) and continues with latest version of 12.

most of my projects contain ALV5 plug-ins and used to be able to open LP, with little to no lag time. at some point LP started to delay for several minutes or would not open at all. i noticed that it always got hung up on loading ALV5 patches within my projects. it got to the point that i had to force quit LP and reboot.

i then noticed that if i load ASC first and then opened LP all was good. i tried to see if this was true for ALV5 and it was false. i wrote a script that would load ASC automatically 2 minutes after system startup, so i can avoid forgetting to load when i was ready to use LP.

now, i have noticed that ASC does not load properly. this does not happen all of the time, but enough times where i need to force quit ASC and reboot. any suggestion are very welcome.

This sounds like a strange one, possibly a potential bug or some kind of conflict on your system.
I think it would be a good idea for you to log into your account to contact Arturia Support who should be able to help investigate.

thanks sean! i ran across the FAQ after the fact. unfortunately that is not an option on my end. regardless, i can work with what i have in place until it gets resolved.

You issue is quite weird but I have some ideas on how it could happen.
If you did fill a support request we should be able to investigate it soon.

hi tim - yes i just received a reply from tech and will give it a try. basically i will give the various Arturia items “full disk access” within the iOS settings. will report back if it solves my issue.

correspondence with arturia below, it did help but not sure if completely solved the issue 100%, regardless, i can live with the situation.

hi again jurgis - ok so the amount of delay when booting up logic pro, was significantly reduced. however it still paused for longer than normal when it came time to load ALV5. i then noticed when trying to re-install the particular arturia patch ALV5 through ASC (as you outlined) does not show up as a “re-install option”. also, ALV5 is the patch i am using in my project track. more background information, that may help us possibly. when i first purchased the MiniLAB3 it came with ALV5. i then purchased “V Collection 11 Pro” which does not include ALV5, but does include “Analog Lab Pro”. i am beginning to wonder if that is why Logic Pro is lagging or not booting, because it can’t find ALV5 or is possibly not part of the ASC software patches? regardless, i will re-load my ASC boot script as that seems to be working even better now that i gave disk access to ASC and ALV5. not sure if you want to close this ticket? i will go back through my current projects that are in production and load up the relevant “Analog Lab Pro” patch that would have been part of the original ALV5.
