Urgent need help I just received this midi controller yesterday. I am currently controlling Logic Pro 11 with it. When I use the faders [all faders] to control logic, negative numbers after -60 sometime appear as -134, -136, -126, and sometimes the infinity sign. I am not sure if the controller is broken. The faders do control the volume and the numbers are normal except after -60.
Hi @dbnusbaum. Welcome to the community.
Where excactly do you see this numbers? Is it the db of the volume? Negative db values are normal.
Why do you consider -60 normal but not for example -126?
Do you get the same numbers when you for example control a cutoff parameter?
Have you set up your controller correctly in your DAW? I dont use MAC and Logic.
Do you know if the keyboard is broken?
I don’t have enough informations to have any idea about it. That’s why i ask the above questions.
When the numbers go past -60 they change and sometimes the last number is different or - infinity.
Yes you said that. But you don’t answer my questions.
What is the question?
Read my first post.
Is there anyone who uses logic with Arturia KeyLab MKII that can help me?
I am talking about the channel levels in Logics mixer. But the problem is that the numbers below -60 are sometimes -138, -134, -124 and sometimes -infinity. It seems to be different every time the fader is turned down. Is that normal?
Hi,
I think we need a little more background before we can help you.
I assume you have added Keylab as a Control Surface in Logic? How did you do that? What steps did you take?
The numbers in the Channel Strip will range from +6.0 at the top to Infinity at the bottom and on my setup the lowest value before infinity is -95.
My numbers are completely different before the fader goes below -60.
Ok. If you cannot answer my question I am unable to help.
You spend far to much time fighting people who try to help you instead of helping to help yourself. I post this anyway.
So it’s in Logic you see the values and not in the controller. So it look like what you want to know, is if the controller send the values it shall.
I believe Logic Pro have a MIDI Monitor where you can check the midi CC values coming from the controller. Midi CC values go from 0-127. So i would test if that’s the case.
If you in the MIDI Monitor can see all 128 values being displayed as send from the controller, then the controller is’nt broken.
The values you mention go out of that 128 values range.
It look like you say it work, just not the values. So it does’nt sound like the controller is broken. But i would do the MIDI Monitor test i suggest anyway to be sure.
Also test if the midi CC value allways reach 0 when at minimum.
