Arp/Seq

Hi everyone, I would like to understand something better,
So, using the AstroLab during a live perforamance Without a Pc/Mac DAW ,
you cannot activate/deactivate or On/Off the internal Sequencer of Pigments or the Arpeggiator of any other AnalogLab Synth directly from a button on the AstroLab panel, right? I hope I explained myself well

Hi, you are correct.
The ARP button on AstroLab controls AstroLab’s own Arpeggiator on top of the instrument/preset, not the one that is internal to the instrument/preset.

If you want to use some existing presets that have an internal arp/sequence without that arp/sequence, you should edit the preset using Pigments/V-Collection and save it as a user preset to AstroLab via Analog Lab.
Then, when you’re using AstroLab without a computer, you have the choice of the original preset with the arp/seq or the edited user preset without the arp/seq.
And you can then add the AstroLab’s own Arp on top of it.

Hi,
As an alternative to what you proposed, can I do this? :

  1. Using Analog Lab Pro, I can assign one of the 4 AstroLab Knobs to the on/off parameter of the internal Arp or Seq of the instrument/preset.
  2. Load the same preset on Part A and Part B of Astrolab, on part A WITH Arp, on part B WITHOUT Arp

Unfortunately, Arp/Seq ON/OFF is not an assignable parameter.

Not sure what you’re trying to achieve with this.
Once you have saved the preset without the internal Arp, you can use the AstroLab’s Arp on that preset, and the ARP On/Off button to toggle it.
