Hi. I’m not technically minded, I’m just a casual player who likes having fun. How do I get to play the sounds in analogue lab on my Polybrute 12, the sounds okay through the computer but not the synth.
Probably something silly I’ve missed but hey ho. Any one help?
Analogue Lab and the Polybrute are two separate things.
The patches in AL do not include Polybrute patches and AL patches cannot be used on the Polybrute
Analogue Lab and Polybrute patches can be bought from the Arturia Sound Store.
PolyBrute is an analog hardware synth, and produces its own sound.
Analog Lab is a software synth that runs on your PC.
PolyBrute can’t load Analog Lab sounds, although it can be connected to your PC and used as a MIDI controller to play Analog Lab.
So what do I need to do to achieve this, connection wise?
To connect PolyBrute MIDI (to play Analog Lab or any other software synth in a DAW), a USB A->B cable (rectangle on one end, square on the other). This will connect PolyBrute to your PC and it should show up as a MIDI device.
To connect PolyBrute audio (for recording PolyBrute’s sound on your PC), you’ll probably want an audio interface. You would use standard 1/4" audio cables to connect to the audio interface.
