I like my AstroLab but there are certain Presets that won’t load. i.e.
“This preset connot be loaded because it is not compatible with y9our current AstroLab version”.
btw, I’m up to date with version 1.4.4.
Kinda frustrating. why do some presets for instruments that otherwise seem to have no issues loading into AstroLab?
Context: I’m not an Astrolab owner, but similar problems in the past have been caused because Arturia update Analog Lab and AstroLab firmware in unsynced cycles, so there’s usually a period where the latest version of Analog Lab isn’t compatible with AstroLab until they push out an AstroLab firmware update. This might be the case here.
With the current firmware 1.4.4, AstroLab is compatible with presets from all V-Collection 9 and V-Collection X instruments, except CP70V and Mellotron V (Arturia has not specified whether/when those might be compatible, but the main Mellotron V factory “tapes” are available in AstroLab in the new “Sampler” instrument).
AstroLab is also compatible with Pigments (Pigments 6 with firmware 1.4.4).
New instruments from V-Collection 11 (MiniBrute V, Synthx V, Jup-8000V, Pure LoFi, Augmented Yangtze, Augmented Mallets and SEM V3) are not yet compatible with AstroLab, but will be added in the next update (Arturia has pre-announced firmware 1.5, to be released by July 17th).
“Legacy” instruments (earlier versions that have been discontinued/replaced before V-Collection 9) are not supported in AstroLab. For instance, the “old” Prophet V3 has been replaced by the latest Prophet 5V and Prophet VSV.
Also, Multi presets from Analog Lab 2/3/4 are not supported. Only Multi presets from Analog Lab V are compatible with AstroLab.
