What’s the best way to copy the 12000+ patches from Analog Labs Pro to the AstroLab 37 without duplicating a ton of patches?
I thought about making a Analog Labs Pro playlist and putting them all in there. But not sure if that’s the best solution.
Any ideas?
Also, can we have an astrolab-37 topic tag?
There’s no easy way to copy a bunch of presets from Analog Lab to AstroLab without duplicating presets that are already in AstroLab’s library.
You can select a group of multiple presets and transfer them, but if some similar presets are already in AstroLab, they will be duplicated. The transferred presets will be stored in User sound banks, while the original presets will remain in the AstroLab Factory sound bank.
AstroLab 37 comes with over 1,800 presets already in its library.
Some of those presets are the same as some Analog Lab presets, but many have been tweaked specifically for AstroLab (for instance, using the Analog Lab FX instead of the instrument’s internal FX, so that the are easily controlled on AstroLab).
There are also presets in AstroLab that are not part of Analog Lab’s Factory Library (for instance, some of the Artists presets in AstroLab come from optional Tribute sound banks).
Furthermore, out of the 12,000+ presets in Analog Lab, some older presets are not compatible with AstroLab, in particular presets that come from “legacy” versions of instruments. AstroLab is compatible with presets from instruments included in V-Collection 9 and up (for instance, AstroLab can load presets from CS-80V4 or Jup-8V4, but not from CS80-V3 nor Jup-8V3).
I guess the moderators could do that?
But keep in mind that most operations, such as preset transfers, are exactly the same for AstroLab 37 and AstroLab 61.
