Hello friends,
ok now we have the AstroLab 88, according to the Arturia website it says that it has an Updated CPU for extended polyphony…
I purchased AstroLab 61 last week
is there any hope of getting a CPU update for AL 61 as well?
Hello,
I don’t think it will be possible to upgrade the CPU on AL61.
But Arturia also just announced a firmware update 1.5 for both AL61 and AL88, scheduled for July 17th release, that will add:
- Support for the new V-Collection 11 instruments: MiniBrute V, Augmented YANGTZE, Augmented MALLETS, Synthx V, SEM V3, JP-8000 V and Pure LoFi.
- Quicker preset loads, seamless Playlist sync with Analog Lab, on-the-fly program-changes for external gear, and direct FX & MIDI editing straight from Analog Lab.
Hi! I hope you’ll enjoy your AstroLab 61 anyway!
And yes like Sean said, the next firmware update will include new V-Collection instruments, better loading times and more. And there will be continuous firmware updates to improve it.
@Loopman You will love your AstroLab 61 (as you probably know if you’ve had yours for a week). If you would have bought the 88 instead — at nearly twice the price — I’d suggest contacting your seller and returning the 61.
Or you can be like me — start saving now for the 88 and enjoy the 61 in the meantime.
