Aftertouch not so great on many keys

I have been trying to use aftertouch in Pigments and found that many keys it’s barely responsive with a lot of pressure and requires pressure in the middle of the keys as it simply doesn’t register elsewhere.

Anyone else experience poor aftertouch response regardless of what the curve settings?

Hi @BoogalooMan

Sorry to hear about this, if it’s still under warranty, you should be able to get a replacement/repair unit from the dealer you purchased it from.

HTH!

Update:
I am awaiting RMA and Shipping label to get the device serviced after emailing support. I didn’t realize how bad it was until they had me diagnose it.

@BoogalooMan

Good to hear!

thanks for updating us on the situation…

Update: Received my keyboard back from service and the aftertouch appears to be working flawlessly. Quick turnaround as well.

I am a total amateur when it comes to repairing equipment, electronics, etc. But when two keys stopped working (it only worked when pressed hard), I disassembled the KSP (easy), disconnected the ribbons (easy, but you have to be careful), blew compressed air off the rubbers and contacts on the board, gently wiped them from dust and… everything started working perfectly. It really was easy, and there are several videos on YT showing the whole process.
