Accessibility mode for blind users

Hello comma new to the forums. I just recently purchased a key lab MK 349. I am totally blind and I’m wondering how to turn on accessibility mode. Is there any tutorials for using the key lab and Astro lab in accessibility mode?
I am running a M2 Max studio and logic Pro

Hi Chip, and welcome to the forum.

To enable accessibility mode in Analog Lab, click on the settings icon which is located in the top right of the UI. And the second option in the menu is for accessibility mode. It can be toggled on and off here.
This will then able the use of text to speech etc.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

So it’s actually done in the software interface not on the key lab keyboard itself is that correct?

HI @Chip.McCain

Yes this is correct, it is activated within the software and not the physical keyboard.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much. It does help. I was a little confused. I had watched a tutorial on YouTube, but it was on the older model key lab and the keys were laid out different and the person doing the tutorial said to press the category and preset buttons at the same time That we’re located at the top of the encoder. Again, it must’ve been an older model and I guess there’s been updates.

No worries, that’s what we’re here for.

It’s great to see more visually impaired/blind people getting involved with music and that this side of things seems to becoming more accessible to people such as yourself.

I can understand your frustrations regarding updates etc, it can be tricky/time consuming/annoying for many of us, even without sight and vision issues.

It’s great to know there’s at least one person using the function as intended, and really nice to have you in the forum too!

Well ok, thus far I have to say I’m sadly disappointed in the available accessibility. But I will not give up. I invested in the Arturia eco system because I believed them to be serious about accessibility and the Keylab’s potential of being an awsome DAW controller for blind use. . I have downloaded and installed the Arturia Software Center, but when I open it my screen reader just reports a text element that says, “Arturia Software Center” and a series of buttons. From what I can tell there are four buttons on this page, but they are not labeled. My screen reader just says, “Button” Is there a way of working with the team responsible for accessibility and maybe work with them to make this software and system completely accessible? I use the NI Komplete Ultimate with the Mashine MK3, but the interface on the Keylab is, IMO, a better daw controler than the NI S series Kontrol… I purchased a NI Komplete Kontrol 49, but the offerings of the Keylab beat it hands down and I’d really love to be able to truly use the Keylab independently I don’t want to have a sighted person around to make changes and install software etc.
