Hello everyone,
I’ve been working on my sci-fi novel Terra Altera for about 1.5 years now, with some longer breaks in between. At the moment, I’m probably about halfway through.
On the back cover, it would probably say something like this:
The evolutionary biologist Dale Higgins, his niece Fiona, and nearly 300 pioneers aboard the US-Nautilus dream of a better future on Terra Altera. But with every new discovery about the distant planet, the reality becomes darker. Terra Altera, with its breathtaking landscapes, holds secrets that raise more questions than they answer. The explorers face the central question: Is this planet really the salvation for humanity?
When I write, I imagine the story like a film – I see the protagonists clearly in my mind, as well as the landscapes that have become deeply ingrained in my memory. Music, sounds, and atmosphere play a big role in this as well.
This idea wouldn’t leave me, so I thought: Why not create the sounds of my book? The way Terra Altera sounds in my head.
I’m now in the final stages of my preset pack. The sounds are almost ready – tomorrow I’ll do the final tweaks, and on Sunday, I’ll release it.
Has anyone else gone through a similar creative journey? A project that unexpectedly took a completely different direction?
Here’s a little teaser – this is how the planet Terra Altera sounds:
