5.11.1.6049 Update Issues: Missing Samples and Inability to edit Split and Transpose data

I’ve just updated Analog Lab to version 5.11.1.6049 on both of my computers, and I’ve noticed two issues in both:

  1. Every Minifreak preset displays an error message for missing samples (Basic Waves.raw and KEY Malloctav.raw12b)

  2. I’m no longer able to edit the data in Transpose (if e.g. I want to shift up or down an octave) nor the data in Split (i.e. I can’t edit the split points any longer).

Is there any way to remove the update and revert to the previous version until these are solved in a future update?

NOTE: Both installs on both of my computers were working fine prior to the upgrade.

Hi @KnewBee. Welcome back.

My Analog Lab version 5.11.1.6049 do not have those issues it seems.

Have you tried to reinstall Analog Lab and MiniFreak V?

You can always download older versions of Arturias applications here:
https://www.arturia.com/support/downloads-manuals

It’s strange you have issues on two computers though,.
Are you on MAC? I’m on Windows.
Do you have the issue when using standalones?

Same issue here. After the update to 5.11.1.6049

Hi @Jela295. Welcome to the community.

Are you on MAC?
Are the issue in standalone mode or only in a DAW? If only in a DAW, then which DAW and which plugin format do you use?

Did you try what i suggested in my previous post.
EDIT_ Please read my next post too. EDIT END

If the issue persist, then i suggest you both contact Arturia support through your account.

Thank you @LBH for your reply.

To clarify a little, I don’t own MiniFreak V; I’m only using Analog Lab Pro with the MiniFreak presets, and I’m using Windows 11 Home.

I’ve just uninstalled and reinstalled Analog Lab Pro via the Arturia Software Center and I have the same outcome.

The experience is consistent whether I open ALP as a standalone, or as VST2 (.dll) or VST3 (…vst3) within my DAW (Cakewalk).

I’ve figured out a workaround for the Split / Transpose issues though. I can no longer type e.g. 1/2/3 or -1/-2-/-3 into the Transpose box, nor a note value into the Split box, but I can click and drag with the mouse to change the values. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

I’m torn between ‘downgrading’ ALP from 5.11.1.6049 to 5.10.7.5324 to see if that resolves things, or just putting up with it until a later patch is released.

Would I be losing much do you think? The release notes don’t really say much but the file size difference between the two is 1GB so I fear I may be throwing the baby out with the bathwater if I downgrade?

You are welcome @KnewBee.

That’s strange.

Only the latest version of Analog Lab support the latest plugins and upgrades.

I can suggest you try to clean Analog Labs Preferences through ASC.
Also try to delete the db.db3 database in your main preset folder, then restart Analog Lab and let it build up the database.

If that does’nt help, then please contact Arturia support through your account.

As said, then i don’t have the issues. I can set split point both ways too.

EDIT: I forgot. You say you don’t own a Minifreak V. But If you own MiniFreak. If you also don’t own Minifreak, then from where do you have the MiniFreak Presets. Do you own any?EDIT END

Thanks again for responding.

Regarding the folder preferences, this is set to default (e.g. C/Program Data/Arturia).

I’ve deleted the db.db3 file and it rebuilt it, but issue persists.

I only have Analog Lab Pro, Piano V3, Vox Continental V2 and Wuril V2. (I’m waiting for a sale before buying V Collection X).

My presets come from the free sound banks (e.g Synthetic Trap), which I’ve also tried deleting and reinstalling.

I’ll try support - thanks
