I’ve just updated Analog Lab to version 5.11.1.6049 on both of my computers, and I’ve noticed two issues in both:
Every Minifreak preset displays an error message for missing samples (Basic Waves.raw and KEY Malloctav.raw12b)
I’m no longer able to edit the data in Transpose (if e.g. I want to shift up or down an octave) nor the data in Split (i.e. I can’t edit the split points any longer).
Is there any way to remove the update and revert to the previous version until these are solved in a future update?
NOTE: Both installs on both of my computers were working fine prior to the upgrade.
To clarify a little, I don’t own MiniFreak V; I’m only using Analog Lab Pro with the MiniFreak presets, and I’m using Windows 11 Home.
I’ve just uninstalled and reinstalled Analog Lab Pro via the Arturia Software Center and I have the same outcome.
The experience is consistent whether I open ALP as a standalone, or as VST2 (.dll) or VST3 (…vst3) within my DAW (Cakewalk).
I’ve figured out a workaround for the Split / Transpose issues though. I can no longer type e.g. 1/2/3 or -1/-2-/-3 into the Transpose box, nor a note value into the Split box, but I can click and drag with the mouse to change the values. Annoying, but not the end of the world.
I’m torn between ‘downgrading’ ALP from 5.11.1.6049 to 5.10.7.5324 to see if that resolves things, or just putting up with it until a later patch is released.
Would I be losing much do you think? The release notes don’t really say much but the file size difference between the two is 1GB so I fear I may be throwing the baby out with the bathwater if I downgrade?
Only the latest version of Analog Lab support the latest plugins and upgrades.
I can suggest you try to clean Analog Labs Preferences through ASC.
Also try to delete the db.db3 database in your main preset folder, then restart Analog Lab and let it build up the database.
If that does’nt help, then please contact Arturia support through your account.
As said, then i don’t have the issues. I can set split point both ways too.
EDIT: I forgot. You say you don’t own a Minifreak V. But If you own MiniFreak. If you also don’t own Minifreak, then from where do you have the MiniFreak Presets. Do you own any?EDIT END
