2 questions regarding the Polybrute 12

I have to say the Polybrute 12 is an absolutely monstrous synth. Its expressiveness is next level and the mod-matrix is the best implementation of synth modulation I’ve seen on a hardware synth.

That said I have 2 questions.

  1. When I turn up Noise > VCF I hear actual noise being output. Is that normal? I thought it was suppose to be just the noise waveform affecting the VCF

  2. On some presets typically mono or unison, quickly switching from one key to the next the results in next key being muted. Almost as if note priority is not working. I end up having to switch between keys more slowly for the subsequent key to be triggered and make a sound.

This only happens with a few presets but I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing the above. Thank you in advance

Hi Underblu, yes - the PB is a monster in all positve manners.

Point 2: check out whether the Legato is set to OFF = 5.11.2. Unison / mono allocation in the EN manual on page 52.
Check also the 5.4.1.1. Unison voice count. Here you can reduce the used number of voices used in Unsion mode.
