Hi,
presets in the Beyond Beats bank are available in Analog Lab but not in the Synclavier standalone. Windows 11.
Banks with less presets (2-3) are available in Synclavier standalone.
Mercy!

Hi.
Try deleting the db.db3 file to allow the patch database to rebuild:
Make a copy before deletion - just in case…
Thanks Funtmaster,
I’ll try it. The advice to make a copy is relevant. It’s a lengthy process.
I don’t understand how the AL db3 should affect individual instruments but I admit I don’t understand the mysteries of AL.
Hi @francoise
The legendary ‘db,db3’ file is essentially a database of all your presets for your Arturia Soft Synths.
If someone is unlucky enough to experience issues such as you’re experiencing currently, it’s usually the first port of call to delete it and let your Arturia Soft Synth rebuild it for you, if you have Analog Lab Pro, then i’d run that after deleting the file as it will link to ALL your presets for Arturia instruments, on the rare one or two occasions i’ve had issues doing that has sorted them very quickly.
HTH!
Yes, i know the legend !
With 32301 AL presets, I try to resort to another solution.
Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the problem.
Beyond Beats does not appear in Synclavier standalone.
It’s a minor glitch; I can edit and save the presets (some fine presets by Maxime Desormieres) in AL. I’d say the Beyond Beats bank has a flaw.
After rebuilding the Legend, all Synclavier banks appear in Synclavier> Factory except Beyond Beats.
N.B. I tried reinstalling Beyond Beats before rebuilding the Legend.
It’s not only the Synclavier
All instruments featured in Beyopnd Beats don’t show in individual VSTs as standlone: Stege-V, Sq, Emulator, Pigments (probably more).
The bank Beyond Beats is flawed and it concerns all instruments in the bank (Synclavier, Sq, Stage, Emulator, etc.). The bank Beyond Beats does not show in individuals instruments involved in the bank.
I bought newer banks (Evolving Electro, Fantasy Synths) and they behave properly.
Hi @francoise,
My guess is the presets are saved in Analog Lab format. Then they do not show up in the individual instruments. Only presets saved in the instrument preset format show up in both the instrument and in Analog Lab.
Just opened the soundpack inside Analog Labs store. There are many presets labeled Analog Lab instead of an instrument name. So it does look like those presets are saved in Analog Lab format. There can be reasons for this, if they include Analog Lab features.
The presets in the other banks you mention are as i can tell from Analog Lab store all saved in instrument formats and not in Analog Lab format. So they show up in both Analog Lab and the instruments.
Hi LBH,
I tried to edit a Beyond the Beats Synclavier preset, export and import in Synclavier; it didn’t work even after changing the extension. So it’s not as you say in a Synclavier format. So you’re right: they are only in AL format.
The Floyd Tribute III shows the same behavior with B-3V. Newer banks like Synth Fantasy behave properly with MiniFreak V or Pigments.
Logically, it’s a bit strange (fascinating would say Spock) that presets should be incompatible with individual instruments since they can be edited in AL calling the individual instruments.
But it’s not a major hurdle.
I think you folks have worked this one out already, just double-checked on my side and yes most of the presets in this bank are saved in AL format. I imagine due to some FX being mapped. Apologies for any inconvenience there, glad to hear you can work around it!
Thank you all!
No inconvenience. I programmed intensively in C and LISP; I know that a little flaw may reveal larger structural problems.
So, the rule is, the sound store
if you’re considering a new bank of presets, when the Analog Lab’s Instrument column says Analog Lab, you will not be able to edit the presets in the targeted standalone instrument (SQ, Stage, Synclavier, etc.).
In Beyond the Beats or Floyd Tribute III, some presets do use some AL effects.
If it the Analog Lab’s Instrument column lists the individual instruments (SQ, Stage, Synclavier, etc.) you will be able to edit the presets in the targeted standalone instrument.
In the online store, when a bank says compatible with AL, Astrolab and instruments used, the bank will appear in the individual instruments listed. For example, in Beyond Beats, the Synclavier is not listed but the CZ is; and Beyond Beats appears in CZ but not in Synclavier.
