No sound at all

This has got to be something dumb, but I just can’t figure it out. I got this yesterday. Installed ACC and the drivers, plugged it in and connected the USB to my PC, and updated the firmware.

I’ve selected the speaker outs. Speakers are plugged in and on. Volumes are up. In Windows settings, it can see a signal being sent (at least according to the meter in Sound options) but the meters in ACC or the unit itself show nothing. And of course I get no sound.

Headphone out also no good.

I’m on Windows 11, latest update.

Is there a way to reset the unit? Not sure that would even help.

I’m desperate here. The journey to get one of these has been long and beyond absurd (suffice it to say it’s the last time I get anything mission critical off Reverb).

Thanks in advance.

When you say, “ I’ve selected the speaker outs.” — selected it where? Can you share screenshots of your routing matrix?

Appreciate the prompt reply. I’ve attached both the routing matrix and my windows sound out settings. I’m new to this forum so I hope it comes through.

Thanks! I see that the Main mixer on the 16Rig is routed to the speakers and headphones. Unfortunately, by default the Main mixer doesn’t include the audio from your computer, so you may need to add it as I described here:

If you have any problems with that, please also share a screenshot of you Main mixer tab in AFCC.

Or if you only need to monitor audio from the computer, another simpler option is to assign the USB 1 & 2 sources to Monitor and phones instead of the Mixer L & R sources.

Appreciate this LOTS. Unfortunately I’ve had to go to NYC to see my client so I can’t test this until I get back late tomorrow. Thanks again.

I ended up using your second option (although routing to USB 31/32 instead, just to avoid confusion with my actual audio and ADAT channels (1 through 24 — for now at least).

I a bit baffled as to why the manual doesn’t address this more plainly. But then this is a much more capable interface than any I’ve used before.

Thanks again for your help.

Now I need to sort out why my headphones sound so noisy.
