Chords Functionality [Inquiry and potential Feature Request]

Is it just me or is chords mode implemented weird on the astrolab? Songs are not created with all one chord type so I am not sure why anyone would select just one chord type like “minor”. How is that useful? Also when creating custom chord there seems to be the same problem. If I enter a major chord, it plays all major chords, if I enter a minor chord it play all minor chords. Every other device I have used honors the key, so if I play a C major chord it assumes a C Major key, then, if I play the D key it plays D minor, honoring the I ii iii IV V vii viii pattern of that key. That seem more applicable in a musical setting and would be much prefered. Am I missing something here? Can anyone tell me what the use case would be able to play just one chord type at a time?

Oh yes, I guess I had to have the scale set. As long as I have the scale turned on, it does indeed work as I would have expected.
