What is "amount of contour"?
« on: May 17, 2005, 08:28:08 pm »
I'm reading the manual, and it's not really clear to me what "amount of contour" means.  The manual says "amount of contour [sets] the action of the envelope generator associated to the filter."

What kind of "action" are they talking about?  Are they describing a variation of the envelope generator through time, or is it more of a snapshot at a particular time, of the envelope across the spectrum?

I've played around with different contour settings, and it is not really clear to me what it is doing.

Can anyone explain this better than the manual?  Thanks.

The amout of contour just set the amout of envelope applied to the filter cutoff frequency.
That means : if the amout of contour is set to 0, there is no variation in the filter frequency,
and if the amout of countour is maximal, the filter frequency is maximaly affected by the filter envelope.
