Q: Analog Lab sample library location?
« on: December 14, 2019, 05:19:54 am »
Hi,

I want to consolidate samples to a different drive.

I'm curious, Analog Lab uses sample libraries, correct?
If so, where's it located?

Best,

LBH

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

FYI: You have posted in a forum for the legacy product Analog Laboratory in the controller section of the forum.
There is a forum for Analog Lab. We are on Analog Lab 4 now, and that has it's own forum. My answer below is about Analog Lab, as that is what you mention in your post.

Analog Lab is'nt a sample player. Some of Analog Labs presets is from instruments that also can use samples, so some of the presets does use one or a few samples. It's not about huge sample librries. The sounds does'nt use sample libraries as such. Arturies applications is mainly emulations and does only use samples, if the original instrument used samples.
You can read more on Arturias product sites.

You can't relocate presets and samples when you use Analog Lab. There are stored in fixed locations. You would not save much space on a disk, if you could, if that's what you think about.

The locations is here:
OSX: /Library/Arturia/Presets
OSX: /Library/Arturia/Samples

WIN: C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets
WIN: C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Samples
ProgramData is a hidden folder, and can only be seen if you enable Windows to allow this.
