[SOLVED] New firmware issue
« on: November 28, 2019, 09:16:53 am »
Hi all,

I updated to the new Firmware. The update itself was reported through Midi Control Centre as having gone fine.

But...

The keyboard doesn’t work since the update and the knobs on the oscillators and filters (other than the master cut off) don’t work. Neither do the sliders on the envelopes.

The LFO knobs don’t do anything but the LFO buttons will put it into the new ‘matrix wave table’ mode.

The matrix seems to light up as normal but it isn’t working as expected.

When I press play on the sequencer it plays and makes noise. I can effect the sound with the master cut off and sequencer.

I rolled back the firmware and it works as normal with that firmware.

I’ve downloaded the new firmware again and tried all the various ways to update, including the ‘boot strap’/delete midi stuff from OS X as per ‘failed firmware’ troubleshooting.

I’ve opened a ticket with Arturia support but I wondered if anyone else might have the same problem/got it working of it the beta testers might have come across the issues at any point.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Jim

Hey,

Sorry to read about this issue.

Check the "Local Control" Device setting at the bottom right in the MIDI control center.
It must be set to ON in order for the keyboard and interface to work.

Certain users seem to have it turned to "OFF" after the update, that might be what is happening in your case.

Best,

Victor

Alternatively, you can also press both the PRESET + SEQ + MOD buttons on your machine, and make sure the bottom left button in the matrix is blue (the P1 matrix button should be blue, P2 should be pink.). The preset screen should read "On" when the P2 button is pink.

Yup,

Local Control was the issue.

It was just was you said...

Thanks Victor!
