Does an Expression work with the Essential"?
« on: November 14, 2019, 06:29:13 pm »
The reason I ask is that I purchased an Komplete M32, which doesn't - it recognizes 0 and 127 only with no apparent immediate plans of NI to update.

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

The Essential keyboards only have a Sustain input. https://www.arturia.com/products/hybrid-synths/keylab-essential-49/overview
The input seems to only have a on and a off value. But i think you can select the on and off values yourself. And you can select if it shall work as gate or toogle.

You need a Keylab MKII to get inputs for Expression pedals and more, to use more than on and off values.

Thank you for the quick reply and warm welcome.

I am going to dig a little deeper. The MKII is a bit rich for me right now as I am planning on getting the V Collection in the next month or so.

I may just wait until any holiday sales come around in the next few months and make my final decision then. The MKII looks fantastic.
