CV input to OSC1 affects OSC2 (??)
« on: October 29, 2019, 06:48:10 pm »
I initialize a preset.
Then I route some CV from my eurorack into OSC1 CV input (it's the first one on the back panel).
OSC2 then tracks the pitch of OSC1.  If I route the CV into OSC2 instead, OSC1 is not affected.

Is this normal?  Again, I've tested on an initialized preset, so there's no sync of OSC1/OSC2 or any of the other modulation paths - the mod matrix is also blank.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I just found that if I put a "blank" patch cable into OSC2 CV in, it "disconnects" OSC2 from OSC1 and OSC2 properly tracks the keyboard.

Yes, that's normal. As you just found out, there is normalization going on, so that the VCO2 pitch input is connected to VCO1 pitch input until you break the normalization by plugging a jack into VCO2 pitch.
