Stable noise
« on: October 16, 2019, 09:46:09 pm »
Hi,

While doing claps and snares, I noticed that noise source in Analog section is pretty random in attack. After having reverb on snares or claps, the tonality of the reverb changes (the reverb is linear). How to get a constantly stable noise? (Having Noise as an FM source in Wavetable engine won't help). Also, I'm not sure if Oscillators can run in Triggered mode at all (phase triggering).

This is one of those cases where a attached preset or at least a screenshot of the settings can help, to find out what you mean and whats going on. Can you please attach a preset that show the issue?

Pitch settings does'nt affect noise. But filter settings and the color of noise does affect how the noise sound. So your issue can be about the filter and noise color settings and/ or modulations, and a quite normal behavior.

I can add this additional info about phase reset.
Please read the manual section "5.1.4.4. Drift (Analog engine only)".
And section "5.3.7.2. Sync/Retrig".
