Where is a proper Random function?
« on: October 13, 2019, 11:24:40 pm »
I checked out the Random function on the Beatstep.

Well I wonder abou it because it is unusable in my opinion - here´s why:

When I hit the random button it is the sequencer that triggers the 16 pads randomly - this means that infinately it will play those 16 notes randomly.
But what can I do with this?
What I would expect this function to do is still run the sequencer in forward motion but randomly set note values!
This way I can listen to the result as it loops around the 16 steps and if I dont like the result after a couple of cycles I can either hit the random button again ans see what I get - - or - - start tweaking the result with the rotary encoders to ajust it to my liking.

Simply put: I want the note values to be randomized - instead of which pad is triggered!

Where is this function?
If it doesn´t exist - - can you put it on the wish list???
