Does the Microfreak have a noise generator?
« on: July 24, 2019, 07:37:27 pm »
Hi. I'm very interested in the Microfreak for sound design in film. It seems like an incredible machine for weird and wonderful noises and textures. But I really value a noise generator. Does it have one?

The Karplus engine does have some limited noise, but otherwise no. Since the MF has no input jack, you can’t do the radio white noise trick, either. We’ll see if a future firmware update adds something along these lines.

Please, add some kind of noise generator in MF. In analog synthesis mode, or wavetable, but with that cool filter, it just would be shame to have no noise sound source to shape.

They could use the progam data as noise, and just move a pointer to various points of that data, like they do the wave table ;)
